In looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, we find the perfect model for enduring trials. Jesus endured unimaginable suffering, yet He did so with a focus on the joy that lay before Him. By keeping His eyes on the eternal promise, He was able to weather the temporary discomfort of the cross. This passage challenges us to adopt a similar mindset when facing our hardships.
